The residence was built on a 73-acre piece of land which was bought by the Navy in 1880. Fortunately, now that the renovation work is complete, the Vice President’s Residence is move-in ready—and Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, will finally move in next week, according to CNN.
